
Weight management is used instead of weight loss, as it takes into account this process of maintaining results once achieved. this is important when you consider 95% of all dieters regain their weight within 1–5 years and that 35% of occasional dieters progress to pathological dieting.
The truth that all diets work for some people some of the time. However, if habits are not changed, the person will soon revert back to their old ways which caused the weight gain in the first place.
As a Personal Trainer I face clients whose number one goal is to loose weight. The simple fact is whether weight is stable, increasing or decreasing is a result of energy balance – as a consequence of food in and energy out.
The science is relatively simple but it is my role as a Personal Trainer that will inspire, motivate and guide you to the results.
